  • I don't know, how each OR works, the reason I think that I kept the car was due to the strong letters of support, from GP to Specialist, another reason is I cannot on some days walk 100mts, and this was supported by my Pain management specialist.
It would of made me housebound if I did not keep the car, which in turn would of cause depression. Hope this helps
  • Another website to look at is this one
Exempt vehicle (Bankruptcy) sections 31.2.17 Households & section 31.2.23
    Put this into Google
  • Dottydee, if I may offer a word of advice on another matter you mentioned? I think you said it was your intention to hand back the keys to your house? If you do this and are thinking of getting a council property, the council may say that you intentionally made yourself homeless and therefore won't help you. Speak to your local CAB and I think they would advise you to stay in your property until eviction. Please do get some advice on this from CAB or better still call Shelter on 0808 800 4444 or website: www.england.shelter.org.uk This is the Housing and Homelessness charity which gives free advice.
