How to find out a historical value of my house

I am trying to appeal the Council Tax band that the house I have just bought is in. I would like to find out the value of the property in 1991, rather than base the appeal on the bands other houses in my street are in etc. All CT bands are based on the value in 1991. The house was built in 1990 so the amount it fisrt sold for should be a good guide to its value in 1991. Would this information appear on the deeds or on the land registry entry? if not, is there another way to discover the value in 1991,

Hi,
Yes, you will find the original price of your property on the title deeds.
Good luckPlease note that whilst I am a mortgage broker my comments on this site are intended as general discussion and NOT personalised mortgage advice. Please click on my name and follow the link to see a full regulatory disclosure.0
