Thanks to all of the support on this forum and from CCCS I finally admitted to my spending problems last month and started the ball rolling to change my life!
I'm starting my DMP in April which will take me 5years 10months and I have just managed to buy the week's meals for £30 (instead of banging £200 on a credit card in M&S, I went to the local market with £30 in my purse and made it stretch), I've chopped up all my cards, and I now don't buy silly things I don't need! I've also more or less stopped drinking! :T
I'm actually losing weight as a result of eating less and healthier food and my relationship with my partner is miles better becuase I am happier.
So, a MASSIVE THANKS to you guys for not judging me and giving me the kick up the bum I needed to sort my life out and I hope this message is inspiration for those just starting out on the road to debt recovery :j

Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -

If we all stood together and threw our problems up in the air - we would rather catch our own again than somebody elses :A0 -

It just feels so great to know its getting sorted. I know I still have the debt but now its being managed whereas up until last month I was borrowing off credit cards to pay off credit cards and I'd think nothing of spending every last bit of credit available to me on silly things I didn't even need.
Well done to all you guys as well *group hug*
p.s. I'm headin off soon to enjoy a hangover free, stress free weekend (hopefully in the sunshine)0 -
I'm getting there, I need to pluck up the courage to ring CCCS as I've got a bit of a phone phobia... Are they friendly and easy to speak to? I'm pregnant so likely to get emotional and start crying if I ring them...0

Well done and good luck with everything.
I'm 10 months into my DMP with CCCS and whenever I feel a bit down due to the odd creditor not playing ball, I have a look at the " your payments to CCCS" link in my account. I then add the payments up and see how much I have paid off so far and see my debt actually reducing for the first time in my life
