I only done it to highlight the fact that most phone calls were contradicting themselves and my case was in such a mess it was becoming such a bleeding nightmare. Thankfully it all worked out fine and they admitted maladministration. I was pleased to get money but its a pity I cant phone them.lol
Stuff them id say
If they are good enough to take money of you then they should be good enough to take a phonecall .
I take it you have a big warning marker on your account

Well in retrospect it was perhaps a tad unfair. I work for a local authority and if a member of the public published phone calls of me speaking to them without my prior knowledge id have been a bit p£$"ed off.
I presume there is a warning of some kind because I actually called them to make an additional payment toward the arrears on my accout (which they have since admitted were caused by the maladministration) and they wouldnt take the payment off me because it said not to deal with me on the phone, two days letter I got a letter saying i was banned.
There was no information regarding an appeals process to this decision or if it would be reviewed in the future etc; When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.0 -

I can give you 0800 number for them that they called me back from
What are they going to do drag you through court .I would just call them as a matter of principle if that was in the same boat as you .
They are happilly taking your money but you cant speak to anyone regarding any issues .0 -

Im not sure what purpose that would serve as surely to deal with me they would bring up my information on their computer and there would be a record of some kind saying im banned.
I can contact them via email or post so I can speak to someone regarding issues. When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.0 -
No real need for them to have an on-line payments system. I've just discovered that most of the banks are part of a new system called "Faster Payments". This means I can make payments from my banks on-line facility and it will be credited to the recipients account within 2 hours if they are a member of the "Faster Payments" system. There is a sort code checker here:-
http://www.ukpayments.org.uk/sort_code_checker/
Checking the sort code I have for them (40-34-18) shows they are part of the system.
Lots of advantages I can think of:-
Don't have to rely on them to effectively implement a secure payments web site.
Don't have to talk to them on the phone (and add to their 0845 revenue).
Maintains records of payments on my side.

sorry bordersdude but i'm p*ssing my sides laughing over here:o. they banned you from telephoning because you up loaded a conversation you taped :rotfl:, how did they even know you uploaded it. thats outrageous, I bet they are not allowed to do this to you. cant you look into it a bit more bet you can get that 'phone call ban' removed somehow.
btw not laughing at you laughing at the csa with their stupid phone ban in place.0 -
There was an article late last week about just this sort of scheme - basically the govt has decided in its wisdom that every person should have their own personal webpage that they would be able to access all of the services they need on, so they can make payments, enquiries etc.
I will see if I can find it but given the fact that the two biggest computer systems that they have installed in the last 10 years are both not fit for purpose, having cost the tax payer milliions I am not holding my breath :eek:Free/impartial debt advice: Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) | National Debtline | Find your local CAB0 -
Found it - details here:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8579333.stmThe PM also promised to create a single website bringing together all government and public sector services.
The "mygov" portal will allow people to manage pensions and benefits, pay council tax, apply for school places and jobs, and book doctor's appointments - all online.
He said it would end the "one size fits all" style of public services and would help the British government become "the most efficient, open and responsive" in the world.
I think I am being cynical but I really did have a giggle at that last sentance :rotfl::rotfl:Free/impartial debt advice: Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) | National Debtline | Find your local CAB0
