Coventry Court and our experience

Hi All,
Mr & Mrs Tryinghardtosurvive were officially BR at 11.40am yesterday at Coventry Court and thought would let people know whom are going there what is in store to put minds at rest.
We arrvived and booked in, we were then met by a really lovely lady whom went through our forms whilst happily chatting away like we were her best friends telling us not to worry and being extremely reassuring.
Spent 20 mins going through the forms and then an hour chatting in a private room about everything from football to politics before she took us to the judge and on the way sharing jokes with other court staff.
Went in front of the judge for about 1 min whom again was very nice and that was it!
Went back to collect our forms and she wished us well for the future again telling us not to worry.
We both walked out a bit shell shocked at how it went and considering how nervous we were prior despite this forum giving advice, you feel like you are going to be tortured it went really well. It was like we were important customers not two people going through a court process.
I do not know how other courts operate but if you are going through Coventry they are really nice and totally understanding. For what is not a nice experience they made it as best as could be.
Like many previous posts it seems the hardest part until this point is making the decision that you cannot continues and the preparing for the day.
Hopefully the OR will be the same_pale_ anyone with experience of the Birmingham OR would be pleased to hear your experience.
Regards

Congratulations both:beer: it's not as good as you wish, but never as bad as you fear.
Lots of luck for the future.

Congratulations on obtaining your BR. I had a similiar experince at my court. Hopefully this will give some positive help to others that the worst part is making that decision.
Good luck for your future...

I too was declared bankrupt in Coventry although it was over three years ago, i def agree that the staff there were really good although the judge was a useless idiot who kept asking stupid questions. Re phone call from the OR i spoke to him prior to leaving and he too was really nice and helpful. Overall the whole process was a lot nicer than i was expecting and the best thing i ever did.0

Are you having face to face interview or phone. I think my Or will be birmingham and would be interested as to what they are like. Thankssonnyboy0

The OR phoned a couple of days after and arranged a telephone interview for both of us one after another and said should not take long as really busy at the moment!
He seemed a really nice chap and was interested in the money in the bank which I said was his and was not going to touch it. Agreed to give me 24 hours before contacting the bank so could print off bank statements as he was a bit overworked and may nto have time, was really grateful when said it was not problem for me to do it.
We have got our telephone call on Monday 12th April and went BR on 18the March.0 -
Thanks and good luck with interviewsonnyboy0
