Shopoholic bankrupt

Is there help for someone who's a compulsive shopper?

Bankrupt about 6 months ago but is spending money they don't have - (Not sure where from and not sure how to find out - it might be someone else's CC but don't know)

Could they be in trouble if they're taking on debt themselves? (is it even possible?)

If they are undischarged and building up debt. Difficult, can they pay for what they are spending is the first question, do they have an IPA.

Also obtaining credit when undischarged without declaring it over a certain amount is breach of terms and is punishable.

Had minimal money on sick for a long time so don't see how they can be spending on tat (About 2k worth at the moment that we've stumbled upon by accident)
They've recently started working again so will have some money but presumably have to declare their increased income.
Suspect they've actually got some mug to fund their spending habits (Someone stupid enough to get evicted for rent arrears recently too.. which may or may not be related)

Not so much bothered about them but know their mum is going to be so upset and angry (She sees banruptcy as shameful) and want a clue how to deal with it. Wish I didn't know about it but I do.

If they do start work they must inform OR within 21 days under terms of BR.

Sounds like they do not care and have not learnt from been given the chance to start again after BR:(

I am pretty certain they are telling the OR about starting work.

It feels that way to me too - and thats why I suspect they need help to kick the shopping addiction. I just floundering not knowing what to do. I suspect keeping quiet and not saying anything and just letting them get on with it is the easy option.
    Thanks.

If the shock of BR has not done it a dont think a gentle word would.

All I can suggest is councilling but to convince her to do so may be hard.

    Good luck sizzler:)
