Loan consolidation for student
I am currently studying for a Foundation Degree part time and looking to study another part-time course in September this year. I do also have a job that pays me minimum wage and this will reduce my working days to three a week. I have two credit cards one £1500 and one £2500, these are both in the region of 29% APR. I did go through a bad time with my finances around a year ago but have only missed one payment on one of these since and cleared other debts also. Never had any CCJs or any thing like that. I want to consolidate this debt and hopefully get a better interest rate so it doesn't run away while I study (although I will try to clear as much as possible before Sept). I wanted to know if there are any financial products out there that may allow me to do this, is there anything like this aimed at older students? (i'm 23). Tried a few balance transfers back in Jan but was declined on all.
