SOA Question

Hi there

We received our letters/pack today from the OR having been declared bankrupt on Monday, to fill in and return with statements etc before our telephone interview.

I have a question about our SOA. On the bankruptcy forms it only asked for certain items so I didn't list everything. Do I send to the OR a fully itemised SOA like the one I posted on here (the makesenseofcards one) so that they can see what our expenditure is etc.

Oh cool - I have been sitting here worrying and almost in tears (there are other things also going on in my life that are important too and all vying for my attention at the moment). I was worried because the outgoings on my BR form do not fully show where our money goes every month like the other SOA does.

The Full SOA shows that we have about £30pm left after bills, mortgage and money put aside for stuff like car, healthcare and holidays. I didn't put that on the BR form.

    I am rambling aren't I???? Sorry.

Congrats on your lovely son btw Phil! x

1stly before I stop making complete sense....DONT PANIC!! they'll see where everything goes by bank statements etc anyhoo my OR commented about the SOA I took with me as it helped him more than the standard forms & didnt need to ask as many questions about stuff

Ramble away no matter how daft it sounds to you we'll always help...although I may not make any sense for a while till i'm back on planet earth!

On the BR forms did you actually miss costs out altogether, or did you combine them into others?

I think I would send the OR a more detailed version before the interview. You would need to explain the difference in your interview anyway, so sending them a copy before will mean you won't have to dictate the modified version over the phone, and the examiner will have a chance to check it over before the interview.

    Excess?

Do you mean surplus or deficit?

If surplus, then of course no probs.

If a deficit, then as you have some items of discretionary expenditure (Holidays etc.... ) may be best to reduce to balance. Although not a big deal for that small amount.

Oh fermi I have done that already. Sitting on my kitchen table is a lever arch worth of wage slips, bank and credit card statements, cut up cards, cheque books (all I could find) and a SOA just like I have posted above, all set out nicely and even coloured in sections so you can see what relates to what (I used to work in administration altho I am a Student Nurse now lol), and packed up ready to be posted to the OR this morning (if I can get the sorting office to take it - it won't fit in a post box).

When I put the figures on the BR forms - I didn't know whether we has to put everything or just the ESSENTIAL payments etc you need to make - like car tax and insurance. I have spoken to the OR and explained this already so she is expecting a revised SOA. I wish the BR forms had allowed more space for outgoings.

I mean excess - if I run our home/life on the figures above and am allowed those, then we will have £7.09 left out of our incomes.

The forms are not very good, are they. :(

If you wanted to add to or submit a more detailed SOA on the forms then Q13 (blank pages at end) is for any extra information on any question. That can be used for the I&E sections. Problem is that it doesn't occur to most people that they can do that.
