    Hiya weemiss

Can I just ask (given your name! :o) which part of the UK you're living in?

It's just that - although a lot of things are the same wherever you live - some things are different depending on whether you live in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland or Wales.

So, not really meaning to be nosey! :o

Yes Im a scots lass! Well spotted!:p
Thanks, yeah there are a few differences, seems to be easier to petition your own bankruptcy in scotland for some reason.
I will be using the Low Income Low Asset route to bankruptcy, the CAB seems pretty clued up so will put my trust in them!
thanks everyone for your reassurance, will keep you all informed.

good luck weemisss and best wishes for your future. I did this feeling at a loss to the correct direction to take, so far its been a good decision, although only two weeks into BR. Its nice to sleep at night not worrying and not scared when the postman drops mail through your door.

Good luck, but hopefully you will not need any, the advice you will get here is invaluable, just ask as many questions as you feel you need to, there is always someone around to help/advise you :)
