Lemonade without Sugar?
Rad
I bought 8 lemons that were reduced to 40p with the intention of making lemonade but got home and realised that I don't really have that much sugar and as I move house 2 weeks today I'm trying to avoid buying more. I’ve got loads of honey (both runny and solid), can I make lemonade with honey? If so how much do I use?
Thanks
PS for anyone looking for lemonade with sugar I found this thread helpful.

My favourite recipe for lemonade is actually called lemon nectar and is suposed to be made with honey but I use sugar!
Here it is:
peel and thinly slice the zest of 3 lemons (or use a zester)
add three heaped tablespoons of honey
cover with enough boiling water to cover and stir to dissolve and leave to cool.
Juice lemons and added to cooled zest honey mixture.
pass through sieve and make up to 1 - 1 1/2 litres with ice and cold water.
enjoy!0 -
Me again!
I meant to say that it does give the lemonade a honey flavour, not unpleasant but it doesn't taste the same as when made with sugar.
If you want to make it with sugar just use heaped spoons of sugar rather than honey!
We love this recipe, slightly tart but refreshing!

Thanks Clare, it was quite easy to make. I like it but it does taste a bit strange, not in a bad way though.2007 comping challenge - Won £25 / need £1040
