Irish Language Classes Belfast

does anyone know of any irish language classes for beginners in belfast? Just thought i'd like to learn something new and this was always on my list

    Belfast Metropolitan College used to run loads of them. I imagine they still do. :)

  • Keep an eye out for the next set of classes at the Linen Hall Library. Very MSE as they are free! :money: They also do Ulster-Scots classes.

    Just go and spend a day in Ahoghill or Cullybackey and you'll be speaking Ulster Scots by the time you're ready for home

    Good to see someone getting prepared for their summer holidays. I always try to learn the language of the country i'm visiting.

    Where abouts in the South or Ireland are you going? they mostly speak English in the East.

    It's spoken more in the West than in the South.
    Also the pronunciation of the Ulster dialect of Irish is reasonably different to the Munster dialect.
    If you are a beginner learning the language and want to holiday in a Irish speaking area, it's best to choose an area where they speak the dialect you are used to.
