Is this really possible? I really want to go to the gym but can't afford it, will I really get a gym prescription? My daughters are my world0 -
Didn't know that existed, but fair point - do they offer that to everyone or only those with weight problems? Also, there will be some snobby bu**ers who wouldn't entertain the idea of going to a local authority gym...0

I think, but you should check first, that if you do join with this offer and you go 11 time in the first 2 months ( i just swipe your card as you are passing if you want) you get this back.
But please check first with your local one.0 -

Only available in some PCTs - they were trying to get it sorted in Derby central pct but it fell through. So not available to many.0 -
Our local PCT was doing 12 weeks Weight Watchers or Slimming world and 12 weeks free gym pass. But they stopped doing it as some scroats were getting the vouchers and either not bothering to go, or selling the vouchers on Ebay :mad:0

it would be good if it was true as the gym round here is 35 quid for a month, but there are a decent amount of classes tho:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

better still work out for free exercise at home lol:rotfl:The average woman would rather have beauty than brains,
because the average man can see better than he can think.
Many people's view of the world is down to their experience, perception and what they have been conditioned to,this isnt any old MSE reply this is a important and experienced MSE reply :rotfl:0 -

Been there tried that, didn't get in 40% of what I normally do at the gym- not enough room, not the right "feel" and not the same machinary. I used to use my council gym but the mould scared me off- that and the fungal infection I seemed to get every time I went back for a few weeks (inbetween gym memberships) am just getting over my last one! Am a private gym membership owner and proud!
But seriously- whatever works for you- you need to understand that everyone has different needs and wants different things from their membership, some of us are willing to pay over the odds and get what we feel is more, so long as I use all the frills and bits which boost the price and fell value for what I pay for, (no machine queues, no mould, free towels, much more classes, customer service, more machines and more variety...) where is the problem? why is there only allowed to be "one way" to get a gym membership? why are some of us not allowed to get private memberships? there are many things I pay for that I just cannot get at my local gym (cleanliness is one of them...) and I am a bit confused as to why so many people have such a ....lack of comprehension that others may want to go to a private gym over working out at home or using a local authority gym.0
