looking for advice

hi there,
entered a dmp two months ago and closed joint bank acc as most of debt was down to me.
my wife opened a bank account in same firm in her name only as we never owed anything or had a problem with with them.
my query is that if my salary is paid to my wifes account can creditors access her account for my debt.
thanks

No, they can only access your account using the setting off clause for accounts linked to your debts in your name or joint names only.

I would suggest your wife removes her account from that bank to one which has no connection with the account you jointly had. It has been known for a bank to take money from a spouse's account if it in the same banking group.

    Unethical, but true.
