Just wondered if you had a default put on your credit file - and you went for car finance from a car dealer - would there be any problem in getting the finance, or would the default cause a problem?

each lender takes diffrent stuff into consideration. late payments etc. so 1 default might not be the deciding factor. BUT it also could be0

I've got an interesting one. I may shortly receive a car allowance monthly payment on top of my current wage. Being in an IVA normal income rises are soaked up in IVA repayments, but Payplan think I may be able to keep this towards a car as it's not normal wages. Anyone have any experiences of this? And anyone know if anyone might accept car finance with someone in an IVA in these circumstances?Debt as at 12th July 2006 - £61,345 :eek: :eek: :eek:
