But some people on here hae nothing better to do than whinge, gripe and moan about the pettiest of things. Funnily enough these are normally the people on other boards pouring their hearts out to people as they have no one to talk to about their personal problemsI would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.0

Perhaps we could have a "swap at your own risk (with no come back to MSE under any circumstances whatsoever!) because we are grown ups" type thread on here - swapping does really seem the ultimate in money saving. My tickets (and I won't give the dates for fear of reprisals
) are likely now to go to waste because ebay is flooded and none of my friends or family can use them - such a real shame especially as people are not trying to "make" on them!
Anyway thats my thoughts on the matter - I think I'll run for cover now and await the onslaught.on a money saving mission0 -
Completely agree with Dixie here!!2013 Wins - Goodreads book, Greggs Sausage Roll, £1,000 Personal Shopping Experience, Golden Dog Bowl, Wedding Story book!!
Hoping after 3 miscarriages 2013 will be lucky and we'll get to keep our baby!
Losses: 04/2008, 11/2012, 05/2013 - Never forgotten Mummy's angels

Unfortunately regular MSE members have seen examples where swaps have gone very wrong, and left a lot of bad feeling. Thankfully these are rare, but why take the chance? The rule is very clear. If you don't like it, perhaps you could set up your own swaps site?Gone ... or have I?0 -
I too agree with Dixie, a use at your own risk policy!!0

dmg why is your tone so defensive? I was simply making a suggestion. If we never take chances we never really move forward though do we? So it would seem the majority of swaps in the past went okay but the "rare" bad swaps mean we have to stop them and so the minority rules again.Wouldn't claim to have the technical know how to set up my own site, nor the necessary time but perhaps not a bad idea for someone out there - we have freecycle maybe there's room out there should be a swap-cyle. Would love Martin's opinion if he reads.:)on a money saving mission0

Browntoa, thanks for the clarification. I don't think there was any need for the other sarcastic comments above. As I said, plenty of people clearly manged to swap their tickets on the other thread and it took them a month to close it which is why I was confused. Lisawood, you might want to take your own advice there, or else change your quote!
My signature should maybe also read, 'however, I don't suffer fools gladly'
Fact is, the rule still stands and unless it is changed this isn't going to happen without getting pulled.
Maybe we could get this moved to somewhere more appropriate, cos a Grabbit it is not.2 angels in heaven :A0 -

Martin has given his opinion on this before. It was a definite no. Perhaps you do not realise that the site owners also have legal responsibilities, even when you put in pretty little disclaimers?
It is very simple to set up a forum. Google is your friend. Perhaps when you have set it up you could ask the MSE Team if you could tell us about it?Gone ... or have I?0
