Must put this right. The accounts are for me, dh, mum, 3 sons, and I also do the clicks for a couple of friends who are total computer misfits. Just had a laugh making a 'dog' account. All the others are real people, with real E mail addys and real mobile numbers. Not abusing the system, just using it!

If they bother, they can track IPs very easily. It's easy to write something which would flag up if certain accounts were all coming off the same IP. Of course, there are legit reasons for why they could be (eg several co-workers all with PB accounts) but whether they bother to do this or not is another matter.

Personally, I think it's unfair for the rest of us. Bear in mind that the free money for us has to come from somewhere (I'm sure PB aren't giving us the points/money out of the goodness of their hearts ). How does it work? Every time we buy something, (and possibly every time we click on one of the ads), PB are getting money back from the advertisers. So, if everyone just set up a whole load of accounts so they could get the 100 referral points, and if they didn't buy anything (and you'd probably only buy off one account anyway), then PB would be paying out a lot of money to us without actually gaining any revenue. And so, they would go out of business fairly quickly. I don't think this is fair to the genuine users.

You are still abusing the system if you make clicks on behalf of somebody else! The whole idea is that PB reach new customers on behalf of their clients. If you view the pages and make the clicks instead of your friends or family members, then PB's advertisers haven't reached their intended targets ... so why should they pay you referral commission?

I know it was kinda free, although I did get piggypoints from shopping as well, but I just got my £10 beefeater voucher and you only get £10 off if there is four of you dining. Me and OH both ordered one so we could go for free eats on our ownsome (how classy are we?) and get £20 off and now if we can't use more than one at a time we'll only get £5 off. And it expires on 29th September 2006. Rather annoyed spending £11 of piggypoints to get £5 off a meal
