When do we find out who won? I'd love to see Jules win but I do share Poppycats concern

Also please do not lobby to win the prize - as Martin says, it's not cricket!

I know Jules herself hasn't asked anyone to nominate her (or asked people to ask for her) but a lot of people have been effectivly lobbying for Jules for post of the month.

I've had points for a few, not sure how long it takes for them to be printed but it can take weeks to get the points, I'd forgotten all about submitting a couple of them by the time I got the points.

If there was a postER of the month award, Jules would certainly get my nomination. However, the award is for POST of the month and although most of Jules' posts are helpful, the information she posts is not that difficult to find out for yourself on PB.

Indeed you were, and I thank you. You will remember, then, that there was a pretty full discussion of whether PB could sustain their business model, and many doubts were expressed. point3 makes some good, erm, points.

The business model appears to have held up in Ireland, and PB seems to be adding to its advertisers' portfolio in the UK, notably with big signings like Tesco recently. From that perspective, things look positive.

It seems to me that the main problem is in keeping the attention of "old hands" who are not earning much through the weekly CTs these days. Maybe new members arrive "virally", but at some point, the number of new members each month will presumably get quite low, and if they lose the older members there could be a problem. I guess in the end it depends on how clever PB are at attracting new members whilst at the same time hanging on to the older ones.

Thanks for moving the discussion on from how long it takes to get points for things ... which may be interesting once or twice, but after a while does get a little tedious ... with apologies to newer readers whose curiosity and excitement are quite understandable!
I'm not just talking about my wife, I'm talking about my LIFE, and I'm not just talking about MY life, I'm talking about everybody's life. I'm talking about form. I'm talking about content, I'm talking about interrelationships. I'm talking about God, the devil, Heaven, Hell. Do you understand...FINALLY?

This is a very good point, and thanks for making it. It is certainly logical.

However, the same counter-argument was not made when the award was won jointly by droopsnout and kazzea last November. Indeed, since two people shared the award, there was even less of a case for the award being made on the strength of one post.

But I do accept what you say, and although today's decision would imply some inconsistency on Martin's part, it may be that thinking has changed since last year.
