The competitions are there to be entered, I don't see your way of thinking, if I won something and decided I didn't want it, i'd give it to friends, family or sell it on e-bay. Should people not enter television game shows because they might win a speed boat they don't want?
If you enter a competition knowing what you're going to do with the prize, be it give it away or sell it, then fair enough. It's when people win something and then don't know what to do with it and then it gets wasted, that's what annoys me.

Besides, I see PB, this thread and MSE in general as a community - I've had lots of help from some great people. I'd rather a prize went to someone who'll really want it and appreciate it than me winning it and then having the headache of getting rid of it with just a couple of days to spare (remember we're not talking speedboats here - it's tickets that are going to run out soon!).

sorry peoples I won,t write anymore ficticious reviews...I was driven to it by the lack of free points on offer from pigsback over the last few months.I,ll just carry on saving points as normal from now on till I reach my next £10 voucher in 2012

sorry, yeah - I do see your point now - it'd be a pity for them to go completely to waste, you never know, it maybe someone's cup of tea, or maybe if no-one here is interested s/he could even try quickly selling them for £1 on e-bay, just so the spaces aren't wasted.

Still no CT's for me this week:eek:

Oh well musint grumble, have registered for PP poker tonite, should be a laugh, considering previous Poker Tourneys usually last all of a few minutes for me:rotfl:

But 400 free Piggy Points ain't to be sniffed at and you never know I could get a place:rotfl:

Any of the regular players know how long these tourneys usually last for and the number of folks entering, just curious;)

Thanx in advance and see you at the tables:rotfl: (I'm the one chain smoking in the sunglasses:rotfl: )

Just wondering if all the people having trouble getting points credited have waited the length of time Pigsback recommend before complaining. I have also bought a 3 phone but it did say that it would take 28 days to get the points. This could also mean 28 working days, so I would only complain if that amount of time has passed and I still hadn't received any points.

Same goes for applying for vouchers, there is always a screen which tells you that the vouchers will be with you within xxx number of days, and yet lots of people come on and wonder why they haven't received them within a few days. Lots of people do get them earlier than the number of days they originally say but then if they do its a bonus.[/QUOTE

The 15% discount was supposed to come off the total which it didn't. I'll give 3mobile a bit longer but it must be near the 28 days if not over.

It's like the Valentine's Day comp where it stated that the prize was a trip to London, and how many people who won then decided they were actually based in the Outer Hebrides and weren't actually able to make it on 24 hours' notice? I just think that it would make life that tiny bit easier for everyone if people put a little bit of consideration into entering competitions.

    *gets off soapbox* :o

I used to live in the Outer Hebrides, Benbecula to be exact. Providing you could catch the 12.50pm plane to Glasgow you could get to London by 5pm. You could make a show. You would need to be back to Glasgow by 10.50 the following morning to get back to Benbecula that day. It would be rather expensive. 10 years ago a return ticket to Glasgow purchased on the day of departure would cost between £105 and £290 depending how many seats they had left on the plane that day. 64 seats max. Then you would need to get your ticket to London.

To anybody that has not been The Hebrides are a lovely place to live if you like it quiet and don't mind the weather.

With approx 100 players around 2 to 2 1/2 hours. When my daughter won the first one that she entered it finished about 21.55 on the Sunday night.

You can get to 1 hour 20 mins without playing a hand if that rocks your boat. around 40th place.
