Wedding and Anniversaries Referal thread.

I had an idea, since we get so many advertisers and many people who are regular posters but also make jewellery/dresses/photographers who might be able to do us amazing deals if only we knew about them! Would it be a good idea to set up a thread in the referrers section with the link in this board, then people can list what they have to offer, and people can look to see what's offered.

What do we think?

The referral thing is a good idea but the selling things part will be a no-starter! We've asked for it soo many times but exchange of personal info isnt allowed. I also dont see how they will approve an 'im a photographer, hes my website, book me' thread either. This is a website dedicated to consumer revenge and is free from advertising which kinda goes against what you're suggesting does it not?

It will also open the floodgates for people on the DIY board to say... 'I'm a painter' 'I'm a plumber' 'I'm an electrician'..... and ditto for other boards, see where im going here?

It just won't work!
