My first haggle in trying to get money off!

So I needed a new scale, mine sucks. Found one that according to one seller can make burgers. Last thing I need if I need a scale but making burgers puts the price a bit higher.

Online they are about £100, saw one on offer in Co-Op Chemist for £49.99. I was determined to go in and ask for a lower price. I was all set in my Dom Littlewood attitude.

Got in, let everyone go ahead of me still trying to muster up the courage, really needed Dom there. Then finally took a deep breath and asked if they would take £40 since it was the last one and the box was a bit messy. Off to ask boss and at first he said he couldn't since it was already half off. I just mentioned I found a load online for £50 so he said the best he could do was £45!!!!!

I'll take it, I can't believe it worked.

Have you ever haggled? Will you try it. That's £5 in my pocket, what's in yours?

Yep, that was another seller's logic, see he had his scale priced at £199. I sent him an email telling him that he'll never sell it for that price.

His reply was that this is no ordinary scale as it can make burgers....lol

Not a good reply for someone wanting a scale.
