Hi there,
Are you asking if you pay the overdraft which is joint off using money from one of your credit cards?

If your paying the joint debt off with a card your including in bankruptcy then NO sadly you'll be unable to do this as the receiver will see you as favoring a creditor & could land you in a heap of troubleWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

I will be paying it off with money we have in another account.0

All debt is in my husbands name so what we did 9 months ago was take me off the joint account and signed all the debt over to him. It was very easy to do and they bank were most helpful and understanding. Although he hasnt gone BR yet we wanted to be sure that one of us had a clear credit rating in the future. If you have money in another account surely they will also wonder why you are going BR when you could distribute this money between your creditors?0

I had to stop work to care for a disabled wife end of last year. Was not expecting to have to do it for another 5 years but she has developed another illness on top of the one she allready had.
We have just about used up our bit of backup saving. The dwp are still no where near giving us what we are due and people are wanting there money. What we have coming from dwp just covers rent and the like. CC companies are not interested in reducing rates. work are now saying they messed up with my wages and holiday entitlements and claiming 2 months wages back. Told I could have paid care leave now being told differently after I have spent it. I am probally not going to be able to work for some years and by then will be retirement age.0
