Council Tax debt & Nasty Equita

In which case, do two things:
1. Advise equita that you attempted to make a payment to the bailiff yesterday and he was unable to take it, hung up on you. Demand an account code so you can pay on-line. If they cannot do that, send them a cheque now and on the 30th so that you can be seen to making efforts to pay the debt back.
2. What you want the councillor to do is to deal with what is often known as Revenue Collection and ideally given your personal circumstances and Bailiffs' illegal fees, to take the debt back into the Council. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

Ok..... So I and off my final payment by cheque and assume I'm done with them... Silly me, was puttin the bambinos in the car to go to nanny's andsome bloke (bailiff ) comes up to me following mw around as I put each child in, handin me a letter sayin that I haven't paid final amount of £137 which should be £105 and cuz of this I now owe £300 something. Infront of my children proceeds to tell me that they will take my house off me If I don't pay by Friday! Anyway I ignored him, went out came back and he has since dropped thru the Door something with my hubbys hp car details on sayin pay up or it will be taken.
I am really disgusted at the conduct of equita and am wondering what's happened to my payment. My new council tax bill is up to date (lesson learnt!) is there any way I can get this bullsit dead and buried and how to ward off evil bailiff man in the meantime. I feel like I'm back to square one despite keepin to my arrangement. Any ideas? Can the council help
me or don't they give a toss.
any help is much appreciated0
