How long do you have to keep paperwork relating to bankruptcy?

Hi

Just wondered if anyone knew how long you have to keep all the paperwork relating to bankruptcy after you have been discharged? I still have loads of creditor letters, statements and insolvency correspondence but can I now destroy it?

Many thanks

I don't know an official answer, but I was going to add that I am keeping mine until I have dealt with the credit file clean up, and then still wait until I check the files again and see if they have made the neccessary changes just in case I need to contact them again about it.

I will be keeping mine indefinitely, but it will be well hidden away but somewhere I can retrieve it in case I need it :)

I am going to keep all the court papers and letters etc from the OR, don't have any statements as sent to the OR.

The court papers have the account numbers and addresses on so that will be enough for the credit file cleanup.

Any letters from creditors or debt collectors have been burnt!
