Small electric kettle required for Mother

I'm looking for either a small electric kettle that doesn't weigh very much and is very stable, so that my 89 year old Mum, who has recently returned home from a number of months in hospital, can safely learn to boil a kettle, and make herself a cup of whatever she wants again.
She already has a modern kettle, but it's too awkward and heavy for her to lift safely.
I would appreciate any other suggestions if you know any other alternatives for boiling water safely.
She's very independent, and wants to be able to do as much as she can without me panicking all the time about her possibly scalding herself.
Are there any new products out there ?
Thanks.

Does your mum have a microwave oven?
If so, she could fill a cup with cold water and put that in the microwave to boil (about 1 minute), though there are some safety issues with this also.0 -
Was going to search Argos for their travel kettles. However the site is down this morning.
The other option is one of these http://www.betterlifehealthcare.com/products.php?catID=7&subID=189
Hope that helps.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
How about this one - if you read the reviews it appears to be a good buy for an older person

Thanks to everyone for replies.....................Her occupational therapist has told me to get the microwave out of her reach as my Mum has put things in and just turned the timer anywhere and unfortunately boiled things all over the place including blowing up a "Hottie" microwavable hot- water bottle. The gas oven has also had to be disconnected.
The little Breville kettle looks OK..............I don't think she would get on with the cradles.
Still looking, if you have any other other ides.0 -

Tefal Quick Cup would be great for her (if you can afford it) as she does not have to lift it and it just does a cup at a time so less electricity as well

I don't have one myself but have been looking at them for a relative who also finds kettle quite heavy.
Hope others who have them might be able to say if suitable for your mum.0 -
