Just wondered as so many post on here.
My case CSA1 started supposedly in 1997 and ended in 2005. CSA made contact in 2008.
No much really happened since February 2009

Started 1991 - not finished yet !
I reckon I must have spent the equivalent of 1/2 a working year 1000 hours writing to them, filling forms in etc since then.
my personal record is 4 assessments in 6 months ! I've paid the CSA off and stopped them taking payments:beer:
I'm stillowed some arrears by my ex
I was a NRP, now I'm a PWC, partner of a PWC, and parent of a PWC ( and very confused at times )0 -
Mine started March 1999.
Not anywhere near the problems that some have encountered on here. In fact, apart from a few minor hiccups, it's been fairly plain sailing.
My youngest child, my Daughter, is 19 on Christmas eve 2010.
End of sports unless CMEC suddenly bring in the age of liability rise to 20 in the following year.
I've emailed NACSA, CSA, CM Options & CMEC to ask if/when this is due to happen & all say there is no information available as to if/when this may happen.
So, it's either mostly rumour & heresay, or there's a massive conspiracy going on & it will suddenly be introduced with very little notice.Donedoingdebt Lightbulb moment January 2000. Debt at highest approx £102,000. Debt now (October 2009 - absolutely fork all!!!)
CSA case closed on 02/09/10 :beer::beer:0 -
case opened by venomous ex in 2006.
case closed 2010 as she finally got fed up cutting her nose off to spite her face with a fiver a week! :T
isn't it strange how problems become easier when the ex decides to re-join the human race. :rotfl:
me thinks that the DWP investigating her may have had a part in it too. especially as i have all the evidence required to bury her.

Wow - so much easier dealing with REMO!
I had a provisional order made in court here in May 2005, applied for it three months prior, went to court in Canada and was made 'legal and enforceable' there. OH paid every month till he had a new baby a year ago, filed for enforcement in Canada by sending off all enrollment paperwork in December 2009 - sent further requested information at end of January - have spoken with them this evening, and enforcement is now underway - he's changed jobs, but unfortunately for him it's income tax return time which they'll take, they have pictures of his new truck, his boat and details of where it's docked......so I think he'll be paying up finally - just in time for me to prepay son's accommodation costs for university I think - but expecting all hell to break loose as there's no end date on our order (his lawyer wasn't that bright I guess!) and they are enforcing child support payments to continue as long as he is a full time student - hope he knows he's headed for medicine and that's going to be at least another 7 years.......oops - guess he might realise how expensive his ignorance of his respnsibilities is going to be. But, will certainly make university alot less stressful for my son. If by chance he does ignore the requests from the maintenance enforcement people, I hope he doesn't get caught driving, as one of the first things they do is cancel his licence......making it easy to get possession of the vehicle. Given it's a lovely new pick up truck, I'm thinking he'll want it back!0 -

Can we not have any PWC bashing please - this is not the only thread you have made this type of comment on.
Anxious Mum has clearly stated the terms of her case, and actually REMO seems to be working more quickly than our own CSA  The child has a legal right to financial support from both parents and that is what Anxious Mum has ensured that he gets.

sorry but you don't go to all that trouble and put in that amount of effort and time without a teeny bit of revenge fueling the fire.
yes, i agree, both parents have a duty to support their children, but some pwc are "bent and twisted out of shape" and make it their sole purpose in life to destroy their ex.
the other factor that often gets forgotten is the childrens feelings. my daughter has suffered because of her mothers pathetic vendetta against me and my wife. if the ex acted like a human being once in a while, she'd see how upsetting it is for our daughter and wonders why she is struggling to control her.
still, the clock is ticking for her. daughters respect for her mother is being eroded away and it's a waiting game now.NEVER ARGUE WITH AN IDIOT. THEY'LL DRAG YOU DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL AND BEAT YOU WITH EXPERIENCE.

Revenge fueling what fire Speedster? I have a son about to embark on going to university. He has a trust fund that was set up back when he was born for his university costs, his father now has control of the account as it is in Canada, and is refusing to go by the agreed terms of the account when we set it up (when I was the one working.....and he wasn't). So, unfortunately, now that he has decided to stop paying child support, and things like accommodation need to be prepaid long before any student loans are paid (which, he shouldn't have needed in the first place due to his trust fund), I need to take whatever steps to ensure that my son's chosen course of study in medicine is open to him to do. I'm not losing any respect from my son for pursuing his right to go to university without the stress of money worrying him. He's embarking on a course that is 30 contact hours per week plus personal study time, and won't unfortunately, be able to count on being able to fit in a part time job as well.
So do you think I should just let his dream of going into medicine go by the wayside because of a father who seems to think he has replaced his children with a new daughter - and her needs are greater than that of his original children? He won't be without extra funds to provide a decent lifestyle for his daughter - if he were to lose his boat - whose going to hurt because of that? Simply, if he cannot afford to help provide for his child, let alone provide funding that is legally the child's but 'in trust' in the father's name (legal age there is 19 - so he cannot do anything about it on his own until that time) - then maybe he just cannot afford to have his boat.
The options - go for what is legally due and allow son to pursue his education and chosen career.....
or......let him off scott free, and son gets a job out of A levels that will not hold a future for him........hmmmmmmm tough choice....not!
Believe me, if I wanted to use revenge to fuel the fire, I'd go after half the inheritance he received while we were still married.......haven't done that - but half of it $125,000 CDN would certainly help my children out wouldn't it? Now, THAT in my opinion would be vengeful
And in terms of 'time'.......it's simply taken ten minutes to fill out some forms and send them in by mail, and a follow up sending in one more form. The REMO program works a whole lot more efficient than the CSA. If he by chance wants to apply for a variance of the court order and wants to try paying less, the court process is open to him, and free, to apply for a variation.0 -

What a joke. Who in their right mind would classify Anxiousmum's actions as revenge?
I'm going through exactly the same process myself....no revenge intended, it took 10 minutes to complete the REMO papers, another couple of hours to appear in court to swear to my documentation to be true and accurate. Job done. I think you will find that neither anxiousmum or myself express anywhere near the amount of 'revengeful comments' that you have made. about your ex, you are constantly harping on about her, I'm bored of hearing about her.
I too have a child about to embark on a very expensive few years of training to gain specific qualifications. Her dad may not want to support her, but I'll do ALL WITHIN MY power to ensure that I support her, and that he does to, if at all within my power to ensure he does! Its not revenge, its about my kid, our kid!
Why do you feel that our ex's should be allowed not to pay their share. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with revenge. Where are you coming from?
Do you think all situations are exactly the same as yours?
So, your kid wants to be a doctor, what will you do? What will you say? Sorry son, all I can give you is a fiver a week, that might just buy him/her a ride on the tube to UNI, return.0
