Temporary address - impact on mortgage application ?

To avoid yet another chain complication I'm selling my house where I've lived for years, and then I'll be temporarily staying with relatives while finding a new house to buy. I expect I'll find a new house to buy within a week of completing the sale of my current house.
If I applied for a mortgage while in my temporary address will the lack of any credit history at new this address cause problems or will they simply look at the previous address ? The timescale are such that I doubt I'll even get onto the electoral register at the new place before finding a new house to buy.
Or is there anything I can do to get the ball rolling for a new mortgage before I sell my current house ?

You'll need to give previous addresses when making the mortgage application so nothing to worry about.0

The process would be simplified if you applied whilst at your current address as this would match the voters role and wouldn't confuse the computer!!...yr adviser could later advise lender re temp address.....0
