Couple of quick questions? (DMP start-up queries)

Just a couple of quick ones. We paid our first monthly payment to CCCS for our DMP on 10th March, in cash at the Post Office, via Transcash. We got a text and email from CCCS today saying that they hadn't received it. When DH phoned them, they said that they had in fact, received it today, seven days later! I was originally told that I could make the payment on the day it was due(10th) so why has it taken so long to be transferred?
Also, we received a letter from Barclays, regarding our overdraft. They have refused our payment plan request (£1 token payment only so far, DMP was being set up at the time of our token payment) saying that they are sending us a "Termination notice, under the 1974 Consumer Credit Act." Do we need to let CCCS know about this or is it just procedure? Thanks.

I'm not right sure about transcash payment thing (the wonders of banking;))
as long as CCCS have received your payment, it will be sent to your creditors on 25th of the month(I think)
The letter from Barclays sounds like they going to send a "default" letter which is a good thing in a way, you've got the dedault on your credit file at an early date so it will fall off sooner:D
(1 debt = 1 default- no matter who it is sold on to)
Don't worry about them saying they won't accept the token payment, they will,;)
you are doing the right things
Keep CCCS in the loop, you can call them, email them, use your CCCS account to send copies of letters.
If your creditors start the phoneing just give them your CCCS ref number and hang up:)PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBT NERD #869

Thanks Numpty, I thought as much regarding the Barclays letter. Was dismayed by the Transcash thing though, I thought it would be quick and easy. Silly me, trusting the Post Office to get anything delivered on time!:rotfl:"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0
