DS - Any good deals around yet.

Options
My Son has saved his christmas and birthday money to buy one, i keep telling him to hold on, because i expected them to go down in price once the new one was out. It would appear this hasnt happened.

So I am after a good deal on the system its self, with no games or extras.

Thanks

the price for the standard DS Lite has been steady for a while now, even when the DSi came out the price drop was really insignificant, i don't expect this to change with the release of the DSi XL.

£79.99 seems like a good price as previous poster said.
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today!
Cos if you do it today and like it...You can do it again tomorrow.. :p

I'm still waiting on mine from Sainsbury's.

Ordered late on Saturday for Tues PM delivery. Waiting in all afternoon, and no show.

Original order got stuck in "processing" state, and they cancelled it on Weds morning for me, and placed a fresh order.

This also got stuck in "processing" state, due a computer glitch that they are working to resolve.

Five phonecalls to CS, two broken promises of a callback, and they have now rescheduled delivery for Saturday AM which I am not at all confident they will make despite their promises.

There is going to be one very disappointed girl on her birthday, and one *very* annoyed customer come Saturday if this also fails to show up!

So great price, but until they sort their computer glitches out, don't rely on them meeting their promised delivery date!

Just a quick update, Sainsburys did deliver as promised, and phoned me twice (yesterday to confirm it would go out, and this morning to confirm it was on the delivery truck).

So apart from the initial computer glitch their customer service has been excellent, and I have one happy daughter!

They are also refunding the delivery cost as an apology for the hassle, which is nice!

  • I am so glad they sorted it for you....

  • Keep an eye on the W H Smiths site they have the black dsi for 99.99 but sold out at the moment. You never know they may get them back in. I would also say that they will come down in price or at least get a few places selling the old ds off soon. I was lucky i got the Argos misprice on the dsi a few weeks back.
