After Discharge

Options
My OH and i are now discharged and have an IPA in place.

I know we have to tell OR still about any change in circumstances but are we still not allowed to own a vehicle over £1500? My parents want to give us a car and it is worth arount £6k - is this ok while we still have the IPA? We currently have all the expenses for the car except the insurance allowed in our SOA.

Many thanks

  • Thanks for that!

Good news about the car but have emailed my OR today and been told that any pension contributions have to come out of our surplus rather than be accounted for in our SOA which is a bummer as OH was hoping to join his company pension scheme at long last!
