CSA Payments

Hi All,

Is it possible to get CSA payments put straight into a child's account?

Thanks

I guess it depends if the NRP is paying direct or via the CSA.

If the NRP is paying direct then I would guess yes.

I think Miss Monatana has answered your question - if the account is in the name of the PWC and you are getting payments through the CSA then that will be what they accept. If the account was in the name of the child they may still accept it but its not guaranteed.

If the payment made by the NRP is via a private arrangement then it should be able to go into the childs account directly.

you have 2 options when you go thru the CSA, the NRP either pays you direct... so what ever bank details you give him, it will go into that bank account.

But if you ask for the CSA to collect the money, they may want to pay it into your account rather than your childs.

Ok - Thanks to both then.

At the moment, I don't get anything. NRP has co*ked around for the last 11 months. When he first left it was "I'll make sure DS never goes without", promised payment each Friday into my account - sometimes got it, sometimes didn't - sometimes what he had promised to put in, more often less. Last time he saw DS was first week in January. Then in February, he tells me he is going to the CSA because he is sick of me asking if he is putting any money in my account. I just said I would do it myself and did, on 15th Feb and also asked them to do a DOE because I've already had enough hassle trying to get him to pay direct. Just waiting on them now.

I think to save any hassle, I will just leave the account details as they are and just transfer the money into my DS account when/if I ever get anything (not holding out much hope).

Oh, I see! Not sure if they will do a DOE to start with, what did they say?

I was given the option of direct payment or via them, I opted for via them, then if he c0cks up they can do whatever they have to do.

Mines just as much of an @rse, decided he wants a DNA test after 7 yrs...

Let us know how you get on, most of us are in the same boat!! :)

That's not strictly true, the NRP does not have to pay the PWC directly and can choose to pay via the CSA :o

Oooh, now, they did ask about direct payment and I told them no chance and the CSA woman just said it's fine, they would sort it out. I think I just assumed DOE because she then asked if I had his job details.

tbh, I never, ever wanted to go to the CSA and ex knew my hate for them, as also have 7 year old DS (not his child). I had terrible problems with them which resulted in me being signed off work with stress and anxiety.

I don't think I'm that bothered if I don't hear from them, because I won't be chasing them up like I did last time.

My only wish would be that ex would see his son more regularly and create a sense of stability for him (little'un is only 2 and is always asking when Daddy is coming) :(

Yeah I've seen that before with a friends son, he'd be looking thru the letter box waiting for daddy to come, for him not to turn up, used to break my heart.

Hope you get somewhere with them this time!
