lying to creditor to put them off for a week or two?

i'm going bankrupt next week and i got a call today from one of my loans i havent paid. I read that its not always good to tell them your going bankrupt, so i panicked and lied and just told them i was having money/bank problems and i hoped to sort it out soon and that i was getting paid at the end of next week. Didnt actual say i'd pay them next week, but mentioned getting paid to give them that impression. Now i'm worried I'll get in trouble for doing this? if anyone else calls, should i just say the truth about goin bankrupt?

Dont mention BR to them, they will just up the pressure.

You can lie to them, string them along tell them what you want.

    You wont get into trouble!!
