Boo hiss

Having been a DFW for a month, I was looking forward to my first change of sig and seeing my balances diminish by 500 quid-ish, as this is the amount of money I have to be able to pay off debts each month - but this month I've had to fork out for the car crash, and for my course materials, so it's looking like my debt balance in my sig is only going to reduce by about 100 quid this month!
I suppose it's better than going up.
But what a bummer.

My sig's too large, apparently - so apologies to whoever's space I was taking up.:lipsrseal

I sympathise - our debt has gone up too thanks to the car dying and having to buy a replacement
The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0 -
But, as you say, its going down not up :T :T :T
The things you've spent it on haven't been extravagant or frivolous so don't beat yourself up ((hugs))
Look forward to revising your sig anyway... it'll keep you motivated to decrease it by even more next month :A

Actually that's true and has made me feel better, so thanks! You're right, had I spent it on unnecessary new underpants or chocolate I would deserve a beating, but it's been unavoidable (car crash) or necessary for future earning potential (course). So perhaps a bit less boo hiss than I thought.
However next month I won't have a salary, I'm having some unpaid leave to look after the kids, so that doesn't look very promising either! Never mind, things could be worse. My sig's too large, apparently - so apologies to whoever's space I was taking up.:lipsrseal0 -
All of us have had ups & downs along the DFW way. Don't beat yourself up about it. This month, we've had a car bill for £235, a pc bill for £187, a gas bill for £101 & a deposit of £100 for daughter's school trip to Barcelona next year. ???? happens sometimes but onward & upward!Donedoingdebt Lightbulb moment January 2000. Debt at highest approx £102,000. Debt now (October 2009 - absolutely fork all!!!)

Not a "fork out" - an investment.
a) you'll reap the rewards
b) all that studying will stop you going out and spend-a-holic-ising:eek: What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160
