Sounds like a standard lettter. Your file will automatically be sent to the local office who will assess any assets that you have and whether you have to pay a contibution based onyour income. they will also look at any monies that you have received over the last 5 year and what you have spent them on
  • Oh no sounds horrific??Does that mean they are worse than the o.r s? Why do i feel guilty bout sumfin even though i hav no reason to be??When we had an interview wiv or they said we dont think you will hav an ipa to pay, does this mean they can go against what the o r said??Am i panicing bout nufin?

Hi scared, dont panic i had the same letter at the end of last year all they have asked me to do is fill in another SOA (i think that was when they mentioned ED though) but other than that ive not heard a bean from them, my hubby got the same letter yesterday and i dont expect it to be any different apart from i dont think he will be considered for ED.

i think the OR gathers the info and the RTLU acts on it for things like the house and insurances etc (my opinion, i could be wrong)

hi scared and skint, it means that the case is being passed to RTLU, generally this means that the investigation is complete and it is just the assets to be dealt with. The OR secures the assets and will realise any easy assets such as a premium bond. anything that is going to take a bit longer such as a property or an IPA and the case gets sent to RTLU
