newbie!!!!

hi everyone I'm issy,29 .Hoping to get marride in 2012 and would like to be debt free by then, because A it will just be nice to not have a £20,000 stone around my neck, and B the most important one is then we can save up to have the IVF we so despretly want a child but have no way of affording at the moment.
we're living with my parents, which is fine we all get on great and we don't really have any view to moving out but would like to have more money to help them pay bills and do our share around the house too.
The debt mounted up really about three years ago when I became ill with a cyst that raputured from PCOS (hense the need for IVF), we started living off the credit cards ,store cards ect.
We took them out at 9% 12.5% which we could manage even when i wasn't in full time work, but then the intrest shot through the roof to 29-35%, Since three years ago my health have never got back to full stage which is why i am now going through tests for Lupus.
Husband to be has been a social worker for three years so the wages aren't wounderfull from that either to help pay back my debt has he also have some from collage, but we're going to do it indivialy because we have no debt together.
I think thats about it sorry for the long post, it's been a long time coming out!!
look forward to getting help and being free. :A

HI issy and welcome to MSE

Sounds very sensible to try to get DF before you get married. First thing usually is to post up a detailed statement of affairs to show your incoming and outgoings each month and then you and we can look at how you might improve this and pay more off your debts.
