Wed 17th March - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :D

Goooood morning!HShearts11_27135.gifHShearts11_27135.gif

Morning all, thanks for starting the thread Milly, no sunshine but lots of smiles!
    Today I have/will:
    - Checked all banking/credit cards online, no change
    - Listed an item on ebay last night, within an hour there was one bit at £50 reserve! With 5 days to go.
    - Got email about childcare voucher being created online today so will forward that to nursery (if I can ever log in..!)
    - Read nursery news letter that is attached to invoice, I normally just read the invoice and faint!
    - Keep up with onepoll, doing well.
    - Not much opportunity for purge today :( Good job I have sold 4 so far this week.
    - OH has day off with DD today, gave him spending money for Mr T and impressed on him NOT to spend any more and to bring me the receipt. lol
That's it today, just carrying on I think...!

  • PAD = Payment a Day - even if its a few p's to many £'s - it all adds up - with PAD's I paid off one of my loans 2 years early

Daily scratchies have always baffled me - so someone with far more knowledge will come along in a mo and tell you!

  • OK today

List for me - Oh Milly have a great day at college, Starnac nice to 'see you' and Triangle thanks for the photos he's so cute - I will send an email full of peedie puppy muddy pics to cheer you up. He looks just like your dog - except he looks like a haggis coloured version.

ETA Starnac ta - I'm over half way this month woo hoo - all extra stuff towards the rent at the new house - so am chuffed!! I hope it keeps going so well. More ebaying/amazon listing to do!

    Today anyway my list:

    CHeck bank
PAD to DS as he's got his trip soon and rubbish at saving
Work out which ferry to go south on and then book a car on
Work out when OH arrives *which* house to stay at
Check all DD's out and then work out what money to move around
Supposed to be in field but its wet so will keep checking on weather - don't mind the rain but the field is really muddy already
Must think about doing ebay listings before the weekend and before I go away next Friday
Negotiate wiht work that I might stay down south during easter holidays
DD wants a hair cut so must find out where is good for that - I've not had a hair cut in over a year or more.......
Meal from stores - chicken curry I think
Brekkie and lunch is egg sandwiches yum yum
Need to work out which furniture can be moved next week with free van
Bring home new alternator which is fixed and get ready to fit it at home
Do a bit of gardening later even if its just in the conservatory
Look at seeds and figure which ones to list on ebay
Move extra contract money into savings
Look out for Amazon money arriving in my bank :)
Washing big bed covers and hang over bannister for a couple of days to air dry - its a big cotton one and needs a lot of drying.
Get brother to come to new house and take fuses out of the heaters in the bedrooms so little people don't put them on whilst 'reading' in bed and forget to put them off. Its almost summer...........
Take electric reading and phone the company about the new house
Work hard today and sort out work for when 'south' if I can
Arrange to meet up with a couple of chums in Edinburgh - must email them and warn them.

I hope everyone is good today - I'm tired - bed early - took hours to get to sleep and was awake through the night - pah!

I think I'm guilty of this, although me and OH aren't eye to eye at the moment anyway. (still trying to get over BIG barny a few weeks ago)
But you've got to remember everything that you're doing is for the benefit of both of you, and he obviously hasn't had is LBM yet.
