Nationwide not looking after their customers?

Is it me or are Nationwide not looking after exisitng mortgage customers when they come to the end of their mortgage fixed term.

I am forced to take my business elsewhere as they put me onto a much higher rate than competitors.

MY house inusrnace renewal is £85 more than their competitors.

Do THEY not gocompare like the rest of us.

Weird...and no hassle to save money and go elswhere
My posts are just my opinions and are not offered as legal advice - though I consider them darn fine opinions none the less.:cool2:

Those who qualify for the 2.5% (BofE + 2%) rate at the end of their deals have had the benefit of the lowest SVR on the market.

If you've moved your mortgage away from that you may have made a significant mistake.

As for insurance - always shop round, but make sure that you don't sacrifice significant chunks of cover to save a couple of quid.

You're not 'forced' to take your mortgage elsewhere.

I have to disagree. As a Nationwide customer I couldn't have been happier when my fixed term ended. Now if I was with Skipton on the other hand I would be very unhappy! :rotfl:

As for insurance, its a free market and Nationwide can set the rates they wish. They are a business after all.

I have to agree. I am really happy to be on the 2.5% base mortgage rate but I've never bought my house insurance from them.
