Hi everyone
Ive been reading the messages in this forum for the past couple of months and its great to see there is light at the end of the tunnell!! My total debt is 21k and i have taken the 1st step and called the cccs. They reccomended the DMP which i am going to do. However i am currently on maternity pay and until now have been on half pay so my wages have been ok but been a big struggle. But from the end of the month i go onto statutory maternity pay which is around £125 per week!!! I dont get paid until the last day of the month and so cant send cccs my payslip showing my new income until then......However i have bills coming though the door which need paying and i dont have th money to pay them all!!! I've had the 1st letter off cccs with the notification of DMP to photocopy and send to creditors. So shall i send this and a token payment??? I have a loan with Natwest which is due on the 1st April for £260 and i simply dont have the money to pay!! I owe the most money to natwest, how much shall i send as a token payment?? Any ideas anyone please.
Thanks in advance

Most people recommend either £1 if you are on benefits or £5 if you are not. That said if someone cannot afford £5 then £1 is better than nothing.

Token payments CAB styleee are £1 a month or a week, depending on how you're paid and can afford if you don't have sufficient income to make pro rata payments of more than £1 to each creditor.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
