Dilemma for a friend - informing the OR!!

Hi
I have a very good friend who went bankrupt last July. She is due to be discharged this July, however she has asked me a question what I don't quiet know how to advise her.
Its all to do with informing the OR of a change of address. She is currently thinking of moving out of her flat in Mid/Late May so she can move in with her partner. As she is discharged in July, this would only leave about 6 weeks from when she would get automatic discharge.
Should she inform her OR of this change or leave it due to how close she is to discharge? From what she has told me, her bankruptcy is not being looked into anymore than usual and she is not on any payment agreement.
I am looking for people views on this as I really don;t know how to advise her best.:)

hmmm tough one! she is still required to tell the OR of changes till discharge.
if it were me i'd stay put till July, then move with a clear conscience!0 -
if she moves before discharge then sh is required to inform the ORHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
Please note that any views i put forth are not those of my former employer The Insolvency Service and do not constitute professional advice, you should always seek professional advice before entering insolvency proceedings.0 -
Tell her not to move before AD. If she moves in with her partner, the OR will expect him to contribute his share of the bills, i.e. her disposable income will increase, at whih point she could well be inline for an IPA, which of course would last for 3 years.
If she does it after AD, none of the ORs business and no chance they can come back and take action at a later date. If she has got through BR with no IPA so far, best not to take any chances in my opinion.Dogs have owners...my cat has slaves...0
