Child Tax Credits

Hello,

I am going through all my details for the BR forms and have a question about child tax credits. I was overpaid last year (2008-2009) and consequently HMRC are chasing me for £1785 which my DH will be including in his IVA. I was also overpaid during the current year (2009-2010) and from Sep 09 they stopped paying me due to the o/s amount above.

Do I have to wait for my renewal pack etc before I go BR to ensure that this is included or will they be able to give me the info early?

Will I be able to claim the correct amounts after I have included this in my BR?

I know I should just phone them and ask but am avoiding it

Any advice appreciated.

ps overpayment was due to an administrative error on their part which I should have told them about but didn't (paid CCs with it instead!)

Hi, just put down your approximate figure everything will be finalised after you go BR anyway. You are also able to add anything you forgot about later too so dont worry too much, if the debt was incurred prior to your BR it can be added any incurred after you are liable for
