Mortgage advice pleassssssse

Good evening , this is my first post so be gentle with me. I'm trying to obtain a mortgage but having difficulty . I have used the brokers recommended by Martin without success. My situation is as follows. purchase price £179950 for which I have a 20% deposit. I'm seeking interest only at the moment. Self employed for14 years but only have accounts for last two years they show 14,000 and 25,000 net profit after I have taken drawings of £14,000. I also have a pension currently paying £909 before tax. I'm 55 looking for 19 year term. Does anyone have any ideas's As to where I can turn to find a mortgage product. Thanks Geordie.

Tough one, self employed 14 years but only two years accounts. You could have been a pirate on the jolly roger for the last 15 years!

I would think that your own bank may help if they happen to be barclays?

What reasons did the broker give for not placing it?
