If you are setting up another account surely they want your clubcard number? Also I am sure your address would flag up as not being a first order, i.e. driver remembers delivering to you before so you aren't a first time customer.

No :D There is an option to tick 'i do not have a clubcard'
They would be excluding people otherwise as not everyone wants one or has one?

It has never been a problem to me, my friend also got her shopping delivered to mine tonight as it is all non perishable and she is over in the morning, nobody blinked.

Have just had my delivery from Tesco where used the 10.00 off 50.00 as mentioned previously.

I ordered x2 meal deals so that costs would be kept down. However the cheese was out of stock and rather than sub it with another item from the meal deal they decided to give me another cheese selection!!!!

This meant that I was charged full price for all the other items in the meal deal as I have not picked all the items!!!!

Needless to say I gave back all the other items to delivery man - who could not believe that they had done this instore.

Called Tesco and complained and stated that I wanted my delivery fee refunded due to their incompetance and they have agreed.

Now I am just waiting for the refund to my card of the 20.89 and the 4.50 fee!!!!

However it does mean that I got all my other shopping for 6.70! so not all lost. Does anyone know how long it takes to get this money back?

I've had a sub before when doing one of these type of orders, called the 0800 number and it was sorted pretty quickly :)

Normally you get an email immediately, refund up to 5 working days, but I have had it within 3/4 days. They always seem to refund the full price of the substitute, say £4 not the £3 charged and do not take it to account and discounts, ie 2 for £3 etc. So often I have found I have paid very little :p

Well got my refund today of just over 25.00 so I did get the rest if my shopping for just over 6.00.

My friend says that she always orders the meal deal and gets the discount and then returns the wine with the driver. Gets a full refund for the wine and then get the rest of the meal free. Not sure I agree with this or have the nerve to do it but it does register that it was on offer when processing the refund.
