It's been a while but i think this is strange

Afternoon Guy's

I filed for Bankruptcy in Jan 09, one of the first things i did was let my Bank Lloyds TSB what i had done and they said they would sort things at there end. I dont really understand why to today i still have the same bank account i had and i even have the same phone contract which they allow me to upgrade on every year. Is this really odd and should i have really done something about this?

Cheers

Jeff

Hi Jeff, not an expert on these things but, I went BR Dec 2009 and was banking with Lloyds, they are aware that I am BR, I sent all the cards etc to OR and thought no more of it, until last week when I received a letter from them telling me they were reducing my overdraft, odd I thought, so I went through to phone banking and checked the balance and so on, and it seems that the overdraft is gone but the account is still running. I have decided to leave it and see what happens when I am discharged.

As for the phone, I believe that if you don't include it in your BR you can continue to run it as normal, and that a number of posters on here have had upgrades whislt BR.

    Hope that helps a bit!

Thank you, so i can still run the same bank account as long as the bank is happy with that. Just with all the talk of not being able to have a bank account and yet my old one seems happy enough to keep this running and even my small overdraft seemed wrong yet its something that is very handy to me and am happy with how things seem to be going.

It does seem odd doesn't it? I don't know why they don't freeze them, I thought they did as soon as knew you were BR.

Very odd, still I'm not going to complain!! It does at least have a proper Visa Debit card, and it will be nice to have a cheque book for the school meals again!!

Thats nice to know about Lloyds - they do have the best internet banking around and I have tried a few in my time (Lloyds, HSBC, Barclays and Co-op). Were Lloyds one of your creditors????

diddly, Black Horse were which is part of Lloyds, and a small overdraft with Lloyds themselves, which makes it all the odder for me!!
