Nil Tax Question

Hubby has received a letter today stating Nil Tax code has finally been applied (we went BR in November!). However we never signed the paperwork for Nil Tax IPA, as it was on the same sheet as Income IPA which we disputed. That was back in January, and nothing has since been mentioned. So what now happens to the Tax for March?
Any idea's or experience's of this would be much appreciated.
