Egg require new and old signature?????

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help.
I am in the process of getting my egg card changed from mymaiden name to my married name - I'm doing this so I can query the amount of charges I have received and if possible get some back.
I sent my marriage certificate off with a covering letter and had it to returned to me in my married name. I then received another letter addressed to me in my maiden name asking me to sign under my old name and then again in my married name, therefore supplying them with both my old and new signatures.
I don't know how this will affect me claiming for any charges on my card, I would be wary if I was chasing the CCA but was hoping for charges it would be ok.
Does anyone know if I have anything to worry about it is there a way I can 'protect' my signature in case they use it to their advantage.
I hope this makes sense and that I posted in the right place.
Thanks

Hi
I think it would only be an issue if you ever decide to look into the original CCA.
You could write your signature over some 'gridlines' or background watermark/squiggle even. So that that there is no way it could be cut and pasted into a CCA at any point in the futute.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
