Can I say a quick hiya  to the regulars on here, Rambler, jullynne and many others, unfortunately due to a huge mess up by Talk Talk I now have no internet broadband connection at home, although my Talk Talk welcome letters tell me I have. I have been told I will have to wait FOUR weeks to be connected and to receive my modem and cd. Word of warning guys, think twice before joining Talk Talk, it took me 30, yes THIRTY phone calls to get through and then they were useless. I have sent a complaint to the Chairman of Carphone Warehouse and they tell me they are currently investigating !! Unfortunately, in the meantime my time is limited on here.

Oh dear, sounds familiar. I just signed up for TT, and it has been a nightmare ever since. Thank GOd I'm still with BT for the Broadbank ( at the moment, unless TT mess that up) but I have just sent off registered letter to TT HO cancelling my contract with them. This is after numerous phone calls, hours held in a queue and e-mails they haven't replied to. They better not try to charge me the £70 cancellation fee, or SOMEONES blood will be on the carpet, and it won't be mine !!
Agree with Welshy entirely, in fact, do more than think twice, make sure you have all the paperwork in front of you, and don't believe a word of all their promises untill you have it in black and white.0 -
Hi the Old Bag - my problems started last week when having provided TT with my MAC code, all of a sudden last week Tiscali stopped working. Then the next day my email account with Tiscali was closed down, apparently TT told them to do it but I had no prior warning. TT kept me on hold for 35mins and told me to go to my local carphonewarehouse store to get the modem and cd, I tried they didn't have a clue what I was talking about.
The biggest mistake I made was trying to join up, my line is enabled for TT, my PC cannot connect as it does not have the modem/cd. In the meantime, I have borrowed a PC and I am paying for dial up at a very slow speed. When all I wanted was my FREE broadband to work !
Sorry rant over - Welshy
PS Lost a mystery shopping trip today because of the probs, it is costing me time and money now.

It sounds like Talktalk is only useful for people to use as a bargaining tool to hammer down the price of their existing broadband! I thought of using it as an example when I get around to phoning ntl, should be useful for that at least!
Welshy, I thought you must be on your hols! Have you printed off some nice £2.26 coupons for Max Power magazine (link to the usual 'voucher blogspot' posted this week, sorry I don't have the actual link you'll all have to search for it!!
). Only valid till 1st August but they scan at Mr T's - if they will accept internet printed coupons where you are!
EDIT: found the original link by davidedthomas. You may have to refresh your page to get the site but the coupons can be printed off in bulk!
