Tues 16th March - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
Goooood morning!

Another sunny one here....lovely
Not much on ehre - work til 12, home for a rest...then take my daughter and her pal to a maths club. Collect them at 5.15, home for dinner, take her to Guides at 7.30. Then conk out on the sofa...Holby City Tuesday...hooray
Ok, here's my list:

- Put chicken curry in slow cooker for tonight, yum
- Put Hetty round last night so no need to do today
- Put dishes in to soak, kept falling asleep everywhere last night so didn't wash up and they've gone crusty...

Morning everyone! No sun here I'm afraid

I was so exhausted after everything yesterday. As well as everything I put down (except the seeds
) I organised all my filing, months nd months of it. Cooked an apple crumble to use up apples, roasted some veg for lunches this week - pittas, roasted veg, nd home grown rocket mmmmm... Opened savings account for savings.
Today I will:- Call waterboard and get monthly repayment reduced, was in debt from last house so was paying £20 extra each month due to end in Dec 09. But in Dec they only reduced it by £10  Manged to get monthly payment down to £20pm, but really had to be like a dog with a bone, she wasn't going to do it, tried fobbing me off nd telling me she could do anything for 24hrs, when I asked to speak to her manager she told me she didn't have one and no supervisor was avaible. In the end I asked her name, surname, office she was working in and if the call was being recorded. Spoke to a manager!
- Chase woman at the beauty salon

- call halifax cc as when sorting out filing found out statement with £7 credit on it unfortunately no credit:(
- do any surveys available
- go to work 12-8
, hm lunch nd tea there, nd apple crumble - Go to comedy night after work with oh, bought tickets yesterday only £5. We joined the pubs website as it said if u did u got a voucher for a free drink, but voucher never arrived. When I bought the tickets I asked the landlord re this and he said he would sort out the voucer for me to collect today :T no hopefully nsd for me. arrgggh spent money...
- Pay in the £2s/pennies counted up £46 since Jan! yah
- Put potatoes out to "chit" - really must do this!!! chitting as I type
- Try not to spend so much time on this forum or I'll never get it all done! done!
Josiebaby re egg putting up apr did u see in martins newsletter a few weeks ago you can refuse the increased rate as long as you don't take out any further debt on this card?

Hello all! I've decided to put a list up today as I'm being badgered and nagged by DD (Hi Jo )
So far today I have:- run dishwasher on Cheap rate electricity (advantage of being an insomniac!)
- hung washing outside in the sunshine
- got a loaf of bread rising
- checked internet banking
- done three surveys
- make two batches of biscuits whilst oven is on for dinner
- get down to the allotment to plant my garlic, which is going mad in the coldframe, and also onions and shallots.
- get into the sewing room for at least a couple of hours
- phone for a physio appointment to get this frozen shoulder sorted for once and for all
That's enough of a list for today - now I'll have to see how much I achieve.Making magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.0 -
