1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -

Ok, i have the advice leaflet infront of me (meant to be going tomorrow but my babysitter has cancelled grrrr!) and it says:
Can i have sex before the test?
If you use a spermicide, a barrier method of contraception or a lubricant jelly, you should not use these for 24hours before the test as the chemicals they contain affect the test.August: £149/£150
