Have I Got CCJ's?

To cut a long story short I walked away from a variety of unsecured debts 3 years ago. My mail was redirected while I worked abroad, the financial institutes quickly sold my debts on to the agencies who passed them amongst themselves.

Did I get any CCJ's?...I never at any time recieved any court papers, I never attended any courts.

But can CCJ's be levied in your absence?..if the debt is being sold onto agencies was there any advantage to either the original institution or the DCA in lodging a CCJ for someone 'gone away'.

I can't apply to the various agencies for my report as they want ID and my new address, obviously I don't want to link the two!

Is there any premier service who will provide for a price a full credit report in confidence?

Why should you care if you are avoiding paying your dues?

What exactly are you wanting to do, apply for more credit in the UK even though you aren't here?

Thanks Fatbelly, just checked and nothing at all was registered! must have been £30k+ in total. Perhaps once they realise you have moved its not worth the expense. I remember from when I worked in collections for HFC we would just use the whole CCJ thing to put the frighteners on the customer to pay up.
