Baby modelling

Options
I have a four and a half month old daughter who is simply gorgeous. I know I am biased but I get strangers commenting on how cute she is and some people have said that I should put her in for modelling. She is also a really good baby so I think she would be good at it.

I was just wondering if anyone knows of any reputable agencies for baby modelling and any other information would be great.

Are you sure you want to cash in on your daughters looks? I think it's something to think long and hard about, would you keep that money in a trust fund for her?

Many years ago I worked on the advertising account for a large baby/child orientated store, things may have changed since then but I wouldn't do it with my children, I used to feel sorry for them.

As you never know if one baby would be in the right mood for a shot we'd call in 2 or 3 for one shot so, even if yours got chosen at a casting, there's no guarantee they'd actually be used, you'd have done all that travelling and hanging around for nothing, (well, you'd get paid but not have that 'proud' moment when you see your child's pic and that's what you're after, right?)

We'd call kids in for castings to choose the ones we wanted, could you cope with feeling your child had been rejected at such a young age on the whim of an advertising exec? By far the worst though was the older children who just looked bored and if you took the time to speak to them they'd freely admit they'd rather be out playing with their mates.

Childhood doesn't last long, you and she don't want to spend it sat in line in corridors waiting to be chosen for a job, enjoy her while you can!

Yes I would put the money into her trust fund account, but after reading the above post, it has made me think differently, as I guess it can be disheartening if your baby is not chosen especially like you say after a lot of hanging around. I think I will just enjoy her and carry on taking plenty of photos!

Fatvond pointed out some very good points. However, if your child gets older you could always ask her if she wants to do that. Some children are very eager to do it and they also enjoy in what they do. That's the keyword there - enjoy. Make sure your child gets to enjoy what she does. :)

Hi the main site that you SHOULD NOT use is modelsdirect.com they pester you about paying the fees and they dont find you work. No modelling companys ask for money upfront if they are real. I nearly got scammed with models direct. A good secure sight is bizzy kidz because it was on tv and they dont ask for money upfront. It is totally Scam FREE! :money:

I Know I Nearly Payed And Nearly got scammed so me and my mum checked it out again and found out that no site should ask for money upfront!
