ooh I hope this rumour is true - I love homebase!
Had a great money-saving time at B&Q last weekend, we needed to buy a ladder and with the 20% off it came down from £70 to £56.:j0 -
I had a mailshot from Homebase so it's definitly not a rumour.0

Hello everyone,
I need a kitchen and appliances... So here is the quaestion:
Anyone knows if the 15% will be added to the ALREADY good offer:
1. kitchen 50% off plus 25% off...?
2. Appliances 15% off...?
That would be fantastic! I have an appointement saturday in store for a kitchen consultation. I think I will get a good deal. I am also looking at the buy now pay later offer...0 -

It's 15% off everything including those already on offer.0 -
Not sure if im adding or putting this in the right place but i want to get two 5'x 6' fence panels and decided to use my survey stash and change it into £40 Homebase vouchers after seeing that they only charge £5.95 delivery!....How wrong can you be!!.......went in to the Canterbury store to make sure it was correct only to be told that it would cost £35 !!!!.......making it £5 more than the actual fence panels cost!........the £5.95 delivery charge is for items delivered from their warehouse and as single fence panels come from the store the £5.95 doesnt apply...so check that the items you want have the right delivery option!........now im stuck with £40 of Homebase vouchers i cant use!!! Ever feel like you cant win??????0

This might be some help to you. I waited for Homebase sale to buy bed and mattress. when i went the sales guy said no king size gonna be available for at least a month. Told him i was hoping to take advantage of sale price. Had already been reduced to half price, but extra 15% off the day I went. He was SO helpful. somehow managed to place an order at fully discounted price. advised best deal on the mattress etc. managed to get a reduction of about 60% altogether as sale terms honoured on forthcoming order. think I paid about £20 delivery tho, but saved about £600.
Lesson. chat up the sales staff. theyre probably on commision. good luck !0 -
I need wood flooring, a new kitchen, paint, locks, garden tools...
Yes I am buyind a house that needs decorating.
So lets see how much I will save this week-end.
I think I am going in store today to get a Homebase card. I also have a kitchen appointement on saturday....
Good luck to me.0 -
I got the sales flyer in the post & I am a bit concerned that it offers apparent sales prices which actually aren't (leaving aside the 15% off), eg:
"½ price Maidford bed - £259.99 crossed out, now £129.99, 15% off price £110.50"
http://www.homebase.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=20001&catalogId=1500000701&langId=-1&searchTerms=maidford
(states bottom L " Additional Information * Please note that this item has not been price reduced")
"½ price Florence double mattress - £499.99 crossed out, now £249.99, extra 15% off price £212.50"
http://www.homebase.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=20001&partNumber=1773006&Trail=searchtext>FLORENCE+MATTRESS
(has same disclaimer bottom L)
(Can you tell I'm looking for a bed??? :rotfl:)
In the teeny tiny small print on the back of the flyer it says these prices were charged 11/11/09 - 09/12/09This is legal presumably (?) but very misleading.
Yes it is legal, but as you say very misleading. It is a tactic used by most of the big stores. The worst ones are those who seem to have a continuous sale like Dreams.
The mattress that you quoted contain's miracoil springs, so is made bt the Silentnight group , so I wouldn't even pay £100 for one. Even if it was open coil sprung, and made by another (better) brand, then the true price should be around £180 tops.0 -

Can I ask, should I buy a small item like a tin of paint, get the triple point voucher, then order the furniture. Would that work ?
I was thinking about taking the credit card to get the 6 mths interest free credit then pay off in full. Do you know if you get any added discout for taking the card ?
Thanks
Hi
You can apply for 6/9/12mth (dependent on spend) interest free credit with their Homebase store card, although you can also use an Argos store card if you have one too and still get the same benefits. There won't be any discount for using the card.0 -
At last we have a sideboard to buy from there!0
